I recently purchased two Cardiff in Mid-weight Oxford shirts , one half-sleeve linen shirt, and two Vetiver Linen Chore Blazers from Monk of Method. The fit and quality of each item were beyond my expectations. The full-sleeve shirts fit me perfectly, offering both comfort and style, while the half-sleeve shirt has become a go-to for my more casual outings. The Vetiver Linen Chore Blazers, in particular, are a standout. Not only do they exude a timeless elegance, but the craftsmanship is also impeccable.

Great fabric, stitching, buttons, fit, and weave (allowing comfort in movement). I like the customer relationship – calling to confirm measurements (I was suggested my measurements would be better suited to a slim fit than a regular fit, and they were right). The only thing I'd change? The price. Only because I'd like to stock up on multiple colours as part of my wardrobe.

Good heft. Maintains its shape. Yoke is the best feature - aids shoulder movement. Collar is nice and frames the face. Placket holds well when seated. The fabric softens up after washing. Shrinks a bit but that is already taken into consideration by the makers. No hanging threads and dangling buttons. Nuff said - buy all three colours.

The shirt has a good heft. It holds well through the day. OfCourse the collar is big and nice and when buttoned frames the face, but you can find it in many good quality oxfords, e.g., Brook Brothers. It’s actually the yoke that makes the shirt stand out. The cotton is non stretch but it’s the yoke that gives you an ease all along the shoulder. The stitching is very good and you won’t find any loose thread hanging anywhere. I have washed the shirt once and it actually became softer and perhaps shrunk just a bit but the makers take care of it and fit is perfect. The placket is chunky and holds the shirt well when one is seated. The sleeves too are the right width. Lesson to learn : buy all colours!!!

What if the garment doesn’t fit me?

We have a flat 90-day no-questions-asked return and remake policy, and we are dead serious about it. We want you to have a perfect fit, Period.

If you are not happy with your fit, we will happily remake/alter the garment again till you find it to your satisfaction.

How are you different from other custom/bespoke/tailoring setups?

Most of the clothes you wear day to day, such as jeans, khakis, jackets, denim shirts, etc., are not available custom-made for you. The industrial processes of construction and washing garments are unavailable to the local tailors. 

Even brands that claim to be bespoke or custom will leave you wanting that “ready-to-wear” finish. Specialized stitches such as bar-tacking, chain-stitching, double-needle, and French seam are required to make sturdy, enduring garments only seen in industrial setups. A puckering on the stitches, softness of a brushed garment all needs industrial washers and machines. 

Ready-to-wear garments, on the other hand, make you compromise on fit.

We offer personalized fit within the constraints of the business model. We allow you to customize your order as long as it does not compromise the style and make each garment specifically for you. How long does it take once I place an order?

We don’t hold up ready-made inventory, only the raw materials. We start making the product only once you place an order and your measurements are confirmed. 

That means your perfect size & style are always in stock, and we don’t create waste. 

Once our team has created and confirmed your measurements, shipping your order takes 7-8 working days.

How do I retrieve my measurements from my previous order?

Your measurements are safe with us. We will automatically retrieve your saved measurements if you use the email address as your original order. 

You can also log in from the product page or from the menu to see your previous measurements listed. 

Once you place the order, our Made to Measure specialists always contact you to confirm your measurements.

Will my garment shrink after washing?

All our garments are pre-washed and 99% of the shrinkage is taken out before shipping. You can expect very minimal shrinkage on washing.
