How to measure Shirt's chest size – Monks of Method

What you will need

  • A good fitting shirt
  • A measuring tape

1/ Find a good fitting shirt

Find a good fitting shirt

You want to pick a shirt that's comfortable across your chest and doesn't stretch or add stress on the buttons. You don't want to pick a shirt that's too loose either.

2/ Lay the shirt on a flat surface

Button your shirt and place it on a flat surface so you can get an good reading.

3/ Measure it from armpit to armpit

Place the end of your tape measure at the seam under the armpit. Run it across the upper chest to meet the seam at the other armpit.

Round it off to the nearest centimeter of quarter of an inch.

Things to consider

    • Make sure the shirt is flat and fully extended to get a good reading
    • Do not add anything extra for the shrinkage, we will do that for you.
